Pesta Pinji’s – Mid-Autumn Festival is on tomorrow September 4 at the Fu Joh Seah Hall, 1134 Jalan Raja Muda, at Pasir Pinji.
This is the 2nd Pesta Pinji event organised by Pasir Pinji Assemblyman Howard Lee. The first was held on May 2015.
Pasir Pinji was a one of many New Villages established during the Malayan Emergency (1948 – 1960) in the 1950’s as part the British Government’s Briggs Plan to cut off support to the Communists.
The result of the re-settlement of largely Chinese descent saw the concentration of traditional trades, culture and cuisine here and which have been carried forward till today.
The first event of the day, the Treasure Hunt starts at 7.30am.
There will be a lot of programs and activities on that day from 9.30am – 9.30pm such as art craft, traditional games, arts exhibition, photo booth, etc.
