Ipoh’s Car Free morning always entertains.
This month’s event being held three days before the National Day on August 31 saw many who turned up dressed up in their finest Jalur Gemilang (the name of our national flag) or came with the flag in their hand.
Praise must be given to Persatuan Taska Perak the state Kindergarten body for organizing their members and children to show up in numbers dressed in the national flag.
Similar praise for the trainees from the State Culture and Arts Department for putting up a splendid performance to the 2015 National Day dance tune Sehati Sejiwa.
A spokesman for the department said the the trainees would be performing the same routine in front of Ipoh Town Hall during the state National Day celebration this Wednesday morning.
The trainees performance at this time of the year instantly put all who were viewing the performance in the mood for Merdeka.
The event was attended by Datuk Nolee Ashilin who soft launched the reintroduction of Rickshaws.
Also present was NGO Ipoh City Watch whose presence always reminds Ipohites to keep the city clean at all times.
